Stephens’s Fallという美しい滝を目指してMadisonから西に50分車を走らせました。 駐車場は特に決まった場所はなく、Parking AreaとGoogle mapsに記載されているところの道路の脇に停めました。 すると、こんなに綺麗なラベンダー畑が…. 道なりに歩いていくと、 夏の昼間に行ったのに、とっても涼しく気持ちのいい小道でした。 ベビーカーで途中まで行き、滝を見るには階段を降りなくてはいけないので、ベビーカーを止めて、1歳児を抱っこしならがら降りました。 この滝は、1800年代後半から第二次世界大戦までここで農場を運営していたStephen’s家ちなんで名付けられたそうです。 大きくない滝ですが、優しく静かに降り注ぐ滝の音、瑞々しい木々と歴史を感じる岩、マイナスイオンをたっぷりと吸収出来るパワースポットでした。
