JETRO BioHealth Delegation Hosts Japanese Industry Leaders

MADISON and MILWUAKEE, Wis. – Nov. 6–8, 2025 

In November 2025, JASWI was honored to support a JETRO-led BioHealth mission that brought senior leaders from Japanese industry and Keidanren to Madison and Milwaukee to explore Wisconsin’s fast-growing biohealth and biotech ecosystem.

Over three days, the delegation met with UW-Madison researchers, WARF, and companies such as Exact Sciences, Promega, and GE HealthCare to see how cutting-edge work in diagnostics, data-driven medicine, regenerative therapies, and digital health is moving from the lab into real-world applications. The mission also highlighted Wisconsin’s designation as a U.S. BioHealth Tech Hub and showcased the state’s strengths in talent, cost competitiveness, and long-standing openness to partnership with Japanese firms.
