Discover Kyudo: Japanese Archery

In this workshop, you will learn about Kyudo from instructors John Born and Carly Born of Minnesota Kyudo Renmei, who bring nearly 30 years of expertise. They will introduce you to the equipment, basic principles, etiquette, and techniques of Kyudo, which includes instruction on posture, breathing, and the eight stages of shooting, known as Hassetsu. After observing a demonstration, you will practice foundational movements under guided instruction. No prior experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided. Youth aged 12 and up are welcome, but they must be registered and accompanied by a parent or guardian. Due to limited spots, registration is required.
