Asahi Acquisition of Octopi Brewing

In January 2024, Asahi purchased Octopi Brewing in Waunakee, WI, and will brew Asahi Super Dry in the US for the first time with a goal of boosting sales of Super Dry in the US and Canada.

UW-Japan Biohealth Summit

Japanese companies have a long history of supporting Wisconsin-based bioscience research and this inaugural event was an excellent showcase of the international collaboration in this sector.

UW-Japan Engineering Summit

This new initiative in 2025 will highlight University of Wisconsin research commercialized by Japanese companies in Wisconsin and will be hosted for companies, students, and the general public.

Great Dane Japan

Wisconsin’s most successful brewpub opened in Akiu Onsen, Sendai in January 2024. It is one of the five largest craft breweries in Japan, offering sixteen beers on tap and is already distributing beer nationally across Japan.
