Professional Background
Tomoyuki has built a distinguished career at FujiFilm, starting in the Marketing Department for the Electronic Imaging Products Division in 1998. He progressed through various leadership roles including his first international post with Fujifilm in the New York office from 2005 and later worked in the Corporate Planning Division from 2014. He transitioned into the Life Sciences sector as Senior Manager of the Regenerative Medicine Business Division in 2018 and served as Director of Japan Tissue Engineering Co. from 2020. Tomoyuki moved to Madison WI in 2022 as President and CEO of FujiFilm Cellular Dynamics, Inc., and General Manager of the Life Science Strategic Office at FujiFilm Holdings America Corporation.

Community Involvement
Tomoyuki is deeply committed to contributing to the local community through his leadership role at FujiFilm. He has been instrumental in driving Fujifilm’s expansion using a $200 million investment From FujiFilm Corporation that will help to subsidize a new 175,000sp. ft headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin. The new campus will include cell therapy development and manufacturing capabilities. This initiative not only strengthens Fujifilm’s presence but also supports economic growth and job creation in Wisconsin.
Connection to the JASWI Mission
Tomoyuki’s first exposure to American culture was through a homestay in Kansas City, Missouri, which left a lasting impression on his appreciation for cultural exchange. Later, his professional journey brought him to the U.S., including roles in New York and now Wisconsin. Tomoyuki’s leadership role at FujiFilm aligns with JASWI’s goal of fostering collaboration between the private and public sectors while strengthening ties between the U.S. and Japan.
Personal Interests
In his free time, Tomoyuki enjoys cycling, watching Major league baseball and exploring the beautiful State Parks of Wisconsin.
Fun Fact
Tomoyuki is originally from Gunma Prefecture in Japan. He has visited various ballparks in US and was especially impressed by the Brewers home stadium, American Family Field, in Milwaukee as well as the Field of Dreams in Iowa and Wrigley Field in Chicago.
