Professional Background

Jack began his professional career as an Account Executive for a student-founded venture advertising company while he was still a sophomore in college. His experience studying abroad after his junior year broadened his perspective and inspired him to pursue future opportunities in the United States. After working as a CPA at Deloitte & Touche LLP, Jack relocated to Milwaukee in 2003 to lead Milwaukee Career College.

Education

Jack holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Hosei University in Tokyo, Japan. He passed the U.S. CPA examination in 1998 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA).

Community Involvement

Jack currently serves on the boards of three different nonprofit organizations. In addition, he supports another 501(c)(3) organization by maintaining its financial records, contributing his expertise in accounting and financial management to strengthen its operations and compliance.

Connection to the JASWI Mission

Jack has experienced firsthand the importance of international relationships and cultural exchange between the United States and Japan. After moving to Milwaukee, he co-founded the Milwaukee Japanese Association and supported its development into a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
He is committed to strengthening connections between Wisconsin and Japan, with a focus not only on major metropolitan areas but also on small and mid-sized cities, towns, and villages.

Fun Fact

Jack grew up in the Shitamachi area of Tokyo. He played baseball in the Edogawa Minami Little/Senior League, where he developed his early passion for the sport. His team reached the quarterfinals in the Kanto region and later achieved significant success on the international stage, finishing 3rd in the world in 2008 and winning the Little League World Series in 2010.

Notably, former professional baseball player Daisuke Matsuzaka is also an alumnus of the same program. Jack’s two sons are continuing the family’s baseball tradition and currently play college baseball.
